Does any other video/song embody the cheesy/disposable/excessive nature of most mainstream hip-hop in the late '90s? Don't think so. A (pretty bitching) Bowie sample of "Let's Dance," Diddy doing a hot-foot dance in some sand dunes with Mase, an appearance by ex-Puffy flame J. Lo and plenty of exotic locales a la Duran Duran. Oh, and the phrase: "I'm the macaroni with the cheese."
Mase is now a pastor (and, if you believe Wikipedia, joined G Unit and released a mixtape in 2005). Diddy, well. No explanation needed as to his career trajectory.
