This just in from Thom Donovan of Lapush: Shanna Kiel -- late of Sullen and a solo career -- has joined the local dreampop-gazers on guitar. Donovan reports that the band is "rehearsing like mad, writing [and] getting ready to start recording," perhaps in May.
Go check out "Aurora" on the Lapush's MySpace and on iTunes. Donovan says that "Aurora" was recently licensed to a show on CBS called Moonlight -- which is about DARK VAMPIRES -- and says that songs from Modern Blues still appear on MTV's The Hills (which is about CATTY VAMPIRES).
Here's Sullen covering Local H at Vintage Vinyl. BTW, Local H is playing Mojo's in Columbia on May 28.
