I've always had a soft spot for Crazy Town -- okay, well, more specifically its mega-hit "Butterfly." Don't front; you totally know the song. Think early '00s, think bad rap-metal, think lead singer Shifty Shellshock (hands down the best-named vocalist in recent memory) and that indelible chorus: "Come m'lady, come come my lady, you're my butterfly, sugar, baby!" All atop that riff that swirls around like a boomerang, because it's a Red Hot Chili Peppers sample.
Refreshed thanks to rehab, Shellshock is working on new music with a rather impressive cast of characters: will.i.am, Fergie, She Wants Revenge, Dave Navarro, Paul Oakenfold, etc. And "Butterfly" is even getting the remix treatment: Check out this Digital Eargasm blogpost (and the Hype Machine) for a techno-tastic remix by DJ Vini. Judging by its popularity, more than one person views this song as a serious guilty pleasure.
