Sad news for fans of Pi Pizzeria: There is now one less location of the St. Louis-based pizza chain.
The restaurant, which is best-known for its deep-dish pizza made with cornmeal crust, closed its Bethesda, Maryland, outpost last week, according to Eater. A staffer told the site that the location, which opened outside Washington, D.C., in April 2016, would likely close by Friday, February 2 — Sunday, February 4 at the latest. It is no longer listed as a location on the pizzeria's website.Chris Sommers, the chain's owner, didn't respond to our email seeking comment.
