We thought for sure after last week's nomination round, Miss Leon's fried chicken at Rehab Lounge (4054 Chouteau Avenue; 314-652-3700) would have no problem taking the top spot thanks to her vocal fans. However, local chain King Edward's Fried Chicken (multiple locations) came in at No. 1.

For all the rave reviews Miss Leon's got last week -- and the slew of new restaurants featuring fried chicken -- our winner is the same as it was almost two years ago. King Edward's was founded in 1966 by Clarence Edwards and has locations in Crestwood, Troy and its original iteration in St. Charles.

Here's the full report:

1. King Edward's Fried Chicken: 37.72 percent 2. Hodak's Restaurant and Bar: 27.19 percent 3. Other: 26.32 percent 4. Gallagher's: 5.26 percent 5. Rehab/Miss Leon's: 3.51 percent
