801 Chophouse (137 Carondelet Plaza, Clayton; 314-875-9900) is one of the swankiest steakhouses in St. Louis, and the Des Moines-based 801 Restaurant Group will soon add a seafood restaurant to its local holdings. 801 Fish will open in mid-2015 in the former Brazikat space at 172 Carondelet Plaza, across from 801 Chophouse.
The fifth location of 801 Chophouse opened in Clayton last fall; this will only be the second 801 Fish. The first opened in Leawood, Kansas in 2012. The concept is high-end seafood, and as reported by St. Louis Magazine, that means "from dock to door" in 24 hours.
The menu in Leawood includes a raw bar with oysters, caviar and ceviche, clams casino, oysters Rockefeller, clam chowder, a lobster roll and octopus stew. Of course, there are also whole steamed lobsters, crab legs and steaks. Check out the full menu here:
