Simon and Angelica Lusky have a sacred responsibility: feeding the St. Louis Cardinals. Perhaps it is merely a coincidence that ever since Mr. Lusky came on the scene as their nutritionist, the Redbirds have been on a tear. (OK, they have always been winners, but Lusky has kept up the streak.) Could Atlhete Eats' (2837 Cherokee Street; 314-932-5566) bibimbap bowl be the key to their success?

Diners looking to eat like a Cardinal can drop by the Luskys' Athlete Eats storefront to nosh on this whimsical take on the Korean mainstay. In place of rice, Athlete Eats' bibimbap bowl begins with "caulirice," freshly roasted cauliflower that is grated to resemble grains. On top, the Luskys pile on shiitake mushrooms, peppers, edamame, pickled carrots and the patron's choice of protein -- the fork-tender roasted pork loin is a must-try. A sunny-side-up egg crowns the dish, and a side of sweet and spicy chile paste lets folks add their desired level of spice. It's the taste of victory.
