BaiKu Sushi Lounge (3407 Olive Street; 314-977-4411) is opening in the Hotel Ignacio this Monday, October 6, for lunch and opened last Thursday dinner. The building also houses the Moto Museum and Triumph Grill.
As we reported back in July, Soung Min Lee of Miso and Central Table Food Hall is the executive sushi chef with Josh Norris as executive chef.
The menu will have rolls and several specialty rolls, with fresh fish flown in from Hawaii. The lunch menu will be more of a noodle concept.
There will also be live music in the lounge Wednesdays through Saturdays. "BaiKu" means motorcycle in Japanese, and co-owner Brad Beracha hopes it will tie the concept in with the rest of the building.
There is dinner service this week, but look for BaiKu to be open for lunch on Monday.
