Goshen Coffee is strictly wholesale, but it has been hosting periodic popups this summer at 4 Hands Brewing Co. (1220 South Eighth Street; 314-436-1559). Goshen, which began in 2009, has announced that it will open a permanent tasting room at the brewery, which is just finishing up its own expansion project.
"We decided to make it permanent at the request of customers and feedback received over a long period of time from multiple sources," Goshen manager Linda Sanchez-Smith tells us.
The tasting room will be open Thursday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to noon and will, like the pop-ups, feature an espresso bar, pour-overs, batch-brewed coffee plus treats from Pint Size Bakery and SweetArt. It will also host events like last weekend's public cupping featuring Madcap Coffee.
"4 Hands and Goshen have always had a good rapport, not to mention supporting one another in what we do," Sanchez-Smith says. "We work well together, have the same beliefs regarding quality, creativity [and] passion."
