We've known that Fozzie's Sandwich Emprorium (1170 South Big Bend Boulevard, Richmond Heights; 314-932-5414) was outstanding for years, but others are taking notice. Food & Wine has named it one of the twenty best sandwich shops in the country this week.
Fozzie's chef Mark Lucas was featured in the magazine back in 2012 as one of twenty sandwich chefs to know.
"Chef Mark Lucas uses his own homegrown vegetables for recipes like the black-bean burger with roasted peppers," the list reads. Fozzie's opened its second location in Des Peres last August at 11656 Manchester Road.
