Prasino (1520 South Fifth Street, St. Charles;) opened last spring, the first Missouri outpost of the Chicago-based, eco-friendly chain. Reviews were mixed at best -- we found it inconsistent -- and the restaurant has continued operating fairly quietly for the better part of a year.
As first reported by the St. Louis Post Dispatch, the development group that owns the space, Cullinan Properties, has announced that Prasino is in the process of being sold to "renowned investors."
Earlier this year there were four Prasino locations, but the one in Rosemont, Illinois, closed after eight months, and the Wicker Park Prasino in Chicago closed suddenly last week. The remaining Praisinos are in St. Charles and the original in La Grange, Illinois.
