Way, wayyyy back in December, we bought a gingerbread house kit from La Patisserie Chouquette (1634 Tower Grove Avenue; 314-932-7935) and spent an absolutely grotesque amount of time turning it into the official Riverfront Times gingerbread house. And then, because we're a bunch of pseudo-adults, it just sat here in the office for six months.
Well, in honor of this Fourth of July, we humanely re-homed the cockroach family living inside, filled it full of fireworks and blew it to Kingdom Come. It was AWESOME.
Happy Fourth of July, St. Louis! We'll see you back here on Monday.
