Truffles (9202 Clayton Road, Ladue; 314-567-9100) is (quickly) working its way toward an August 13 opening, but things will go even more smoothly now than Andrew Jennrich is on board. Jennrich was chef de cuisine at Farmhaus and has joined the Butchery Truffles Meat Market as of yesterday.

"Obviously he's a tremendous success with Farmahus," Truffles general manager Aleks Jovanovic tells us. "But just like any other chef -- especially a really good chef -- he has dreams and aspirations of being something of his own. The whole butchery aspect was very interesting to him. Regardless of our project, it was something that was on his wish list."

Jennrich will be working closely with executive chef Brandon Benack, and he even helped with a tasting menu event last night on the line. Jovanovic says Jennrich reached out to them after hearing about the job opening, and the more he learned about the Butchery, the more it became a natural step for him.

"We run the house as a team, and it's going to be a lot of fun having him on," Jovanovic says. "Let the games begin."
