Our readers spoke, and we listened. Last week we put up a poll asking about the most underrated patio in St. Louis and the result was...
You voted Element (1419 Carroll Street; 314-241-1674) the most underrated patio in St. Louis.
"We have food here with a pretty wide view of the entire downtown skyline on the north side of the building, and I think that's pretty cool," co-owner and chef Brian Hardesty says. "We have a beautiful sunset every single evening."
The patio at Element is actually two-tiered and will soon include a rooftop garden. Element will be growing Brussels sprouts, lettuce, greens, tomatoes, onions, celery and lots more. Hardesty says they're also considering a temporary tent structure for the summer months.
As for winning? "We're super appreciative and glad everyone's enjoying the restaurant, and hopefully everybody can come check it out and see what it's all about," Hardesty says.
