Iron Fork, our annual celebration of St. Louis food, is only weeks away. We're lining up some of the best restaurants and chefs in town for your eating pleasure. The Gut Check editorial staff has personally picked the participants and competitors, and we wanted to give y'all the first look at who's already coming.

This is just our first batch of confirmations -- there will around 40 restaurants at the event. One of the most exciting parts is a live chef competition, and we've got a killer lineup. Cooking for the title will be Ed Heath, of Cleveland-Heath, John Perkins of Juniper, Brian Coltrain of Element and Colleen Clawson of Standard Fare.
Iron Fork will be held Thursday, March 20, at the Union Station Hotel (1820 Market Street; 314-421-6655) from 6:30 to 10 p.m. You'll get tastings from 40 topnotch restaurants -- selected by Gut Check -- plus drinks, live music and a cooking competition among four of St. Louis' best chefs. General admission tickets are $40 and include unlimited tastings, three drinks and entertainment. VIP tickets will run you $80, but you get early access at 6 p.m., unlimited tastings, five drinks, a gift bag and two private VIP lounges with exclusive bars.
