Overview: Though Vin De Set's rooftop seating is closed for the season, the restaurant's cuisine is enough to keep the guests coming back, even during the wintery months. Owners and restaurateurs Paul and Wendy Hamilton -- who also own the downstairs PW Pizza and Eleven Eleven Mississippi down the street -- make it possible for any person with any dietary restriction to eat at Vin De Set, from vegetarian to vegan to paleo to gluten-free. Just ask your waiter or waitress for a menu and they'll be more than happy to accommodate your needs.
Highlights: Vin De Set's tomato and eggplant napoleon ($15.99) is a layered tower of lightly fried eggplant, tomato and goat cheese over a bed of spinach and a balsamic reduction. This already light dish can be made even lighter by asking your waiter to grill the eggplant instead of fry it, which is also the gluten-free option.
It was impossible to say no to Vin De Set's potato and gruyere croquettes ($7.59), fried and garnished with a chive creme fraiche. This appetizer pairs nicely with the tomato and eggplant napoleon, as the appetizer is a heavier while the entree features more delicate flavors.
Vin De Set will be hosting Valentine's Day at their restaurant, with a special three ($39.99) or four-course ($44.99) meal, which is perfect for both meat-eaters and vegetarians alike.
