Unfortunately, there's been another closure on the Delmar Loop: the Horseshoe House (6100 Delmar Boulevard). The tiny restaurant was known for serving horseshoes (a hamburger on Texas toast covered in white cheese sauce, originating in Springfield, Illinois) and hookah. It opened in March of 2011.

When Gut Check stopped by this morning, the restaurant and bar was cleared out of tables and chairs, but there was no notification on the door for customers other than a sign advertising the space to rent. We called the landlord's number, who refused to give his name, and said only that the owner of Horseshoe House "left because he couldn't stay." The Horseshoe House phone has been disconnected and its website is down.
There is a farewell post on its Facebook page, but it doesn't explain the closure:
We reached out to the former owners via e-mail but haven't gotten a response yet. Check back for updates!
