Dining tours are popping up all over St. Louis, but the latest from Art Dimensions has a new element: art! The night will take your through several courses of food, areas of St. Louis and kinds of art. It begins at the St. Louis Art Musuem (1 Fine Arts Drive; 314-721-0072), of course!
Guests should arrive at SLAM at 5:15 and check in; you'll have a little time to explore the museum (have you seen the new addition yet?) and there will be drinks and appetizers outside. Art Dimensions artists will be creating works on site with live music from Mr. Wendell. Next, a shuttle will take you to the Soulard Art Market & Contemporary Art Gallery (2028 South Twelfth Street; 314-258-4299) where a salad course will be served. Then it's hors d'oeuvres at the Craft Alliance at Grand Center (501 North Grand Boulevard; 314-534-7528). The main course, accompanied by a culinary demonstration from Tenacious Eats, will be served at Meyer's Grove (4510 Manchester Avenue; 314-932-7003). There will also be an art auction of works by Cbabi Bayoc, Megan Rieke and Jennifer Hayes. Enjoy after-dinner cheese selections at Craft Alliance in the Delmar Loop (6640 Delmar Boulevard, University City; 314-725-1177) before nibbling on finger foods at the Clayton Art Gallery (21 North Bemiston Avenue, Clayton; 314-696-2244).
Finally, the shuttle will take you to the "official" ArtD after party at the Boathouse at Forest Park (6101 Government Drive; 314-367-3423). You'll get dessert while viewing the completed pieces started at the beginning of the night and jam to music from Dee Jay Chilly C. Shuttles will be on hand to take you back to SLAM. Tickets are $27, available here. Call 314-607-7693 for more information.
