Sidney Street Café (2000 Sidney Street; 314-771-5777) will house seven chefs from St. Louis, Chicago and Cincinnati in a special charity dinner to benefit No Kid Hungry®, an organization which aims to end childhood hunger in America. On Monday, July 15, Sidney Street Café's Kevin Nashan will host fellow Midwest chefs and serve area philanthropists.
This charitable event carries a hefty price tag. Tickets for general admission begin at $150, but reserving a table for six costs $5,000 while a table of ten will run $10,000. Tickets not only ensure a multicourse meal, but they include the ability to bid on auctions for unique culinary, travel and lifestyle items featured only at the Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry® Seated Dinner. The event will begin with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. while dinner seating follows at 7 p.m.
"More than 16 million children in America don't have enough food to eat and are going hungry," says Kevin Nashan. "As a father and chef, this is a cause close to my heart, and I'm honored to share my kitchen with some of the Midwest's brightest culinary talents who also feel passionately about ending childhood hunger, and look forward to an incredible evening."
