Tuscan Tavern & Grill Temporarily Closed

  • Ian Froeb

Thanks to a Twitter follower, Gut Check learned that Tuscan Tavern & Grill (5800 Southwest Avenue; 314-932-1144) has closed "temporarily," according to a sign posted on the front door. The curtains were drawn, so we couldn't see whether any work was being or had been done to the restaurant, which opened in the summer of 2011.

A phone call to Tuscan Tavern went unanswered. (The restaurant is normally closed on Monday.) Gut Check left a message with Favazza Specialty Foods, which Tuscan Tavern owner Perry Favazza also operates.

More as we learn it.
