Iron Fork, the Riverfront Times' annual tasting event, is this Thursday, March 28, and I still have nothing to wear.
That's my problem. Your problem is that you still haven't purchased tickets to Iron Fork. What are you waiting for? This year's event will feature samples from 40 restaurants and food trucks.
There will also be a mixology competition with twelve local bartenders, and the signature event, the Iron Chef-style battle pitting defending champ Jason Tilford of Barrister's, Milagro Modern Mexican and Mission Taco Joint against challengers from Farmhaus, Cleveland-Heath and Fork & Stix.
Now, if you're the type who likes to be spontaneous and wait till the last minute before you do anything, fine, be that way. But know that general-admission tickets at the door -- if there are any still available -- cost $45, which is $10 more than they do right now. And VIP tickets at the door cost $100, which is $25 more than the advance price.
So what are you waiting for? Your $35 ticket scores you unlimited food samples and three full-size drinks. The $75 ticket includes unlimited food and drink, VIP-seating access and swag.
