Tidbits: Tower Grove Farmers' Market Fundraiser, Bigger Penzeys



- Tower Grove Farmers' Market will hold a fundraising dinner at the downtown location of Local Harvest Cafe & Catering (815 Olive Street; 314-241-3196) on Thursday, September 20.

Joining Local Harvest chef Clara Moore to prepare an "early-1900's-themed" meal will be Kevin Nashan of Sidney Street Cafe (2000 Sidney Street; 314-771-5777) and Josh Galliano of the late Monarch and his wildly popular one-day pop-up All-Star Fried Chicken & Fish.

Also on hand will be Taste (4584 Laclede Avenue; 314-361-1200) mixologist Ted Kilgore as well as live ragtime and jazz music. Tickets cost $60 per person, and are available through the Tower Grove Farmers' Market website.

- Feast reports that Penzeys Spices (7388 Manchester Road, Maplewood; 314-781-7177) is expanding into the space next-door. The expansion will add 1,500 square feet to the shop.

- Maplewood-Brentwood Patch reports that a new bakery called Pie Oh My! will open at 2719 Sutton Boulevard. Owner Jane Callahan already operates Pie Oh My! as a delivery service.
