Tidbits: National Lasagna Day, Courtesy Diner, Little Country Gentleman

- Today might be National Lasagna Day. Then again, National Lasagna Day might have been Sunday, July 29. Really, lasagna is so great, why not celebrate it two days in close succession? At any rate, today sister restaurants Bravo! Cucina Italiana (15 West County Center Drive, Des Peres; 314-821-2562) and Brio Tuscan Grille (1601 South Lindbergh Boulevard, Frontenac; 314-432-4410) are offering half-price lasagna dishes.

The deal applies to dine-in customers only for "Mama's Lasagna Bolognese" at Bravo! and "Lasagna Bolognese al Forno" at Brio. Know of any other lasagna deals today? Let us know in the comments.

- The Webster-Kirkwood Times reports that the Courtesy Diner (3155 South Kingshighway Boulevard; 314-776-9059) plans to open a new location at 8000 South Laclede Station Road, at the intersection with Heege Road in Marlbourough, the former home of Rayman's Sinclair auto-repair shop. This will be the third Courtesy Diner after the original and the Hampton Avenue location (1121 Hampton Avenue; 314-644-2600).

- Evan Benn of the Post-Dispatch reports that Mike Randolph has hired Daniels Parseliti, formerly a wine buyer at PJ Wine in New York, to run the wine program at Little Country Gentleman, the concept that will replace MEDIAnoche (8135 Maryland Avenue, Clayton; 314-725-0719).
