June was a very busy month for openings, including the much-anticipated debut of Southwest Diner (6803 Southwest Avenue; 314-260-7244), the discovery of the city's first Somali restaurant in quite some time and the arrival of three new food trucks.
Closings included the popular Thai restaurant Land of Smile (9641 Olive Boulevard, Olivette), the downtown outpost of the Tin Can Tavern & Grille (1909 Locust Street) and the relaunched Market Grill (728 Lafayette Avenue) in Soulard.
As always, please drop us a line in the comments if you know of an opening or closing that we missed.
