The Amazing Spider-Man -- this summer's comic-book movie spectacular that isn't The Avengers or The Dark Knight Rises -- opens on July 3. That means the Spider-Man promotional machine is kicking into high gear.
Locally, the Hardee's at 2110 Hampton Avenue will host a Spider-Man event from 2-4 p.m. this afternoon. There will be giant spider-web installations (where you can have your picture taken, of course), giveaways, a chance to play a new The Amazing Spider-Man videogame and more.
Hardee's also gave Gut Check a truly awesome prize pack to give away to one reader. Now, usually, we just make you guess where we're eating or maybe write a haiku to win one of our prizes. But this prize pack is so cool we're going to ask a little bit more of you.
Page through to find out what you can win -- and what you have to do to win it.
The Hardee's Amazing Spider-Man prize pack contains the following goodies:
- 1 signed Stan Lee Amazing Spider-Man movie poster - 1 $20 Fandango gift card - 1 ASM hat - 1 ASM t-shirt - 1 Amazing Grilled Cheese Bacon Burger coupon
What do you have to do to win this? Simple: Draw us a four-panel Spider-Man comic strip that involves the webslinger and, somehow, a Hardee's food product.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: This isn't necessarily an art competition. You can draw your comic strip using stick figures on looseleaf paper or in MS Paint or whatever. We're looking for creativity and humor above all else. Of course, that doesn't preclude you from sending us some sweet comic-book art.
At any rate, scan your comic strip and then email it to ian DOT froeb AT riverfronttimes DOT com, subject line "Spider-Man", or if you prefer mailing it, send it to me c/o Riverfront Times, 6358 Delmar Boulevard, Suite 200, St. Louis, MO, 63130.
By entering the contest, you grant us the right to post your entry on Gut Check. Entries must be received by the end of the business day on Monday, June 18.
