First, Gut Check apologizes for lodging a certain advertising earworm in your head.
(any any any)
Second, Gut Check passes along word from the FDA -- which is providing way too many news updates for us this week, frankly -- that M.E. Thompson Inc. has expanded a previously announced voluntarily recall of its "Anytime Deli Turkey & Ham Footlong" sandwich.
The recall now also includes the "Italian Footlong" and the "Classic Cuban" (footlong-status unknown) sandwiches. All three sandwiches pose a potential risk of listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The sandwiches were distributed nationwide to convenience and grocery stores under the brand names Sandwich Central and Dandee as well as Anytime Deli. The exact UPC codes and expiration dates of the recalled sandwiches are available after the jump.
From the FDA press release:
The following products with expiration dates from January 19th through May 2nd and lot number from 00112 through 10412 are being recalled:
Turkey & Ham Footlong - UPC 0543200194 Italian Footlong - UPC 0543200196 Classic Cuban - UPC 0543200156
