- Alderwoman Marlene Davis revealed a few weeks ago that Chipotle and Starbucks would be the new tenants of the shuttered Del Taco at 212 South Grand Boulevard -- a.k.a. the "Flying Saucer," which preservationists rallied around last year after developer Rick Yackey revealed his initial plans to demolish the midcentury-modern building.

(As far as we can tell, West End Word had the scoop.)

Now, Tim Logan of the Post-Dispatch has confirmation from the developers themselves that Chipotle and Starbucks are boarding the flying saucer. No confirmation from either chain yet, as no leases have been signed.

- Tsevis' Pub & Grill is now open at 8025 Mackenzie Road, the space previously occupied by the short-lived Martello's Italian Restaurant. Tsevis' returns at this new location after a hiatus of a few years. Not much info online about the new restaurant yet, though it does have a (spare) Facebook page.
