We learned last month that Niche (1831 Sidney Street; 314-773-7755) was among the "Top 100 U.S. Restaurants" for 2012 at #66, as determined by the website Opinionated About Dining. The ranking was based on 70,000 reviews filed by 3,000 survey respondents.

Now, Opinionated About Dining has released its complete survey results, and Niche and five other St. Louis restaurants are among the top 25 restaurants in the Midwest.

Niche ranks No. 2, behind only the American Restaurant in Kansas City. Sidney Street Café (2000 Sidney Street; 314-771-5777) is #7; Brasserie by Niche (4580 Laclede Avenue; 314-454-0600) is No. 14; and Tony's (410 Market Street; 314-231-7007) is #20.

Rounding out the list is Taste (4584 Laclede Avenue; 314-361-1200) at No. 23 and Farmhaus (3257 Ivanhoe Avenue; 314-647-3800) at No. 25.

Besides the American Restaurant, two other Kansas City-area restaurants made the list, Bluestem at No. 10 and Justus Drugstore at No. 13, giving Missouri 9 of the 25 slots.
