Attention all of you who have been procrastinating or sitting on the fence or living in the dark cave of your own ignorance: Today is the last day that you can buy advance tickets for Iron Fork, Riverfront Times' blockbuster tasting event tomorrow, March 22, at the St. Louis Union Station Marriott. Any remaining tickets will be available at the door, but the price jumps from $35 to $45.
What do you get for your money? Unlimited food samples from the 30 participating restaurants and three (3) full-size drinks as well as a chance to watch the cooking battle between defending champ Carl Hazel of the Scottish Arms (and, soon, Eleven Eleven Mississippi), Jason Tilford of Milagro Modern Mexican, Cassy Vires of Home Wine Kitchen and Jonathan Olson of Market Grill. There is also a mixology competition featuring twelve local bartenders, and the whole to-do is being emceed by the StewedSTL podcast.
