Gut Check first told you last month about Farm to Family Mobile Market, a partnership between MetroLink and the Sappington Farmers' Market (8400 Watson Road, Marlborough; 314-843-7848) to transit stations in areas traditionally underserved by farmers' markets and other sources of healthy food. The market's regular schedule begins today, Tuesday, March 20.
When Stephen Fairbanks interviewed Mobile Market manager Tim Woods for Gut Check, he told us, "Our plan is to be able to service as many food desert areas as possible in the city."
The Farm to Family schedule, as posted on its website: the Delmar stop on Tuesdays from 1-4 p.m.; the Riverview-Hall stop on Wednesdays 9 a.m.-noon; the North Hanley stop on Wednesday from 3-5 p.m.; and the Emerson Park stop on Fridays from 9 a.m.-noon.
