As I noted in this week's review, change is afoot at Baileys' Range (920 Olive Street; 314-241-8121): The restaurant has already introduced a new executive chef and sous chef, and beginning next week, it will be open every day instead of Wednesday through Sunday.
But these aren't the only developments at Dave Bailey's latest (and, for my money, most ambitious) venture. Bailey has also announced that, beginning Tuesday, February 28, Baileys' Range will host a "Community Table Night" on the last Tuesday of each month.
On community table night, the restaurant will close after lunch service at 3:30 p.m. and then reopen at 5:30 p.m. A $20 entrance fee gets you unlimited access to what Bailey describes in a release as "an amazing smorgasbord of locally grown and house made foods."
All proceeds will benefit from the night a selected charity; for the inaugural February event, that charity is the St. Louis Effort for AIDS.
