- Next week is the annual Clayton Restaurant Week. From Monday, January 23, through Sunday, January 29, participating restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe meals for $25 per person (tax and tip not included). As with any restaurant week, reservations are recommended.

Tomorrow, as I did with Downtown Restaurant Week last year, I'll tell you which of the prix-fixe menus are most intriguing.
- We learned last month of three St. Louis and mid-Missouri finalists in the second annual Good Food Awards: Kaldi's Coffee Roasting Company, Goatsbeard Farm in Harrisburg and Patric Chocolate of Columbia. The winners were announced last Friday, January 13, and for the second straight year Patric Chocolate was among them.
- Sauce Magazine reports that Hot Aztec, the food truck serving regional Mexican fare that we first heard about in November, rolled onto St. Louis streets this week.
