Food costs have been on a drastic rise for the past few years, and that's made some people get a little desperate and perhaps a little stupid when it comes to acquiring food.
Sunday afternoon, 65-year-old Donald Noone walked into a Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Giant grocery store and stuffed a rack of ribs down his pants.
Noone was arrested for theft and public-drunkenness charges. Just like when he was arrested for doing the same thing at the same store in May.
Elsewhere in Pennsylvania, we learn how many racks of ribs a bride can fit under a wedding dress.
A week before Noone stuck the ribs down his pants, newlyweds Arthur Phillips III and Brittany M. Lurch thought they'd found a way to cut the high price of their wedding reception. They attempted to leave a Centre Hall, Pennsylvania, Wegmans grocery store with a cart full of groceries they intended to take to their wedding reception that evening. $1,049.26 worth of groceries. Police witnessed them bypassing the checkouts on surveillance video and arrested them at their car, where they found a marijuana pipe. Both were charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property. The groom was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
