Actually, You'll Have to Wait to Try Bigg Daddy's Fried Ribs

  • Ian Froeb

On Monday, I suggested you try the fried ribs at Bigg Daddy's Fried Ribs (2812 North Grand Boulevard; 314-531-7427).

Today, I bring news that you might have to wait quite a while to try them. The restaurant is closed at least temporarily and shows all the signs of being closed for good.

Bigg Daddy's was open as recently as last Thursday, when I ate there. When I returned this week to try something else from the menu, I found the restaurant closed, with a handwritten sign on the front door stating that it was closed due to a death in the family. A follow-up visit today revealed a For Rent sign in the window. The phone has also been disconnected.
