The ninth annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party hit the streets of Manhattan this weekend. Pappy's Smokehouse (3106 Olive Street; 314-535-4340) owner Mike Emerson wowed the rain-drenched crowd during Saturday's opening by giving free ribs to the soggy folks waiting in line.
East 20s Eats, a Manhattan-based food blog created by the the Department of Journalism and the Writing Professions at Baruch College to cover the neighborhood around the school, announced its Pappy's love on Twitter.
