If you're one of those people with self-control who actually waits for a special occasion to indulge in Ben & Jerry's ultra-rich, mega-caloric ice cream flavors, here's a perfect excuse. Today from Noon-8 p.m., the Delmar Loop scoop shop will be dishing out free ice cream, asking only for donations to benefit St. Louis Crisis Nursery.
As you might imagine, an event like this draws quite the crowd, but could you ask for a better day to spend 20 minutes waiting in line? Even if it wasn't so pleasant out, you can't complain -- there's ice cream at the end of the tunnel. Ice cream that's committed to preventing child abuse and neglect. Everyone wins.
