New Levee Forces Agostino's to Relocate

Agostino's Restaurant & Bar must leave its location at 280 Long Road in Chesterfield after the Monarch-Chesterfield Levee District reached a condemnation agreement on the property in order to build a new levee. The closure, first reported (I believe) by KMOV, will take place after service on December 31 of this year.

However, this is not the end for Agostino's, which has been in operation, over multiple locatons, since 1967. (The Chesterfield location opened in 2008.)

"There's no doubt" about opening a new restaurant, says co-owner Elena Gabriele. "We have a few locations in mind, in West County."

The restaurant will celebrate New Year's Eve and its final night at the Long Road address with a special menu and live music.

Says Gabriele, "We're going to go out with a big bang."
