Sean McElroy is facing a mob of women. The Moolah Lounge bartender is mixing Sex and the City-themed drinks for a crowd of moviegoers requesting a barrage of Mirandas and Carrie Bradshaws. Notwithstanding the trendiness of the evening's Cosmo variants, McElroy has an affinity for the classic cocktail, the "really bourbony, rocks, old-man drinks," as he describes them. And yes, he will be employing a muddler for his Old-Fashioned, pounding together a sugar cube with an orange slice and maraschino cherries and finishing off with a fine bourbon and a splash of seltzer.
You can almost imagine a nattily attired gentleman parting the crowd of women at the bar, throwing down his fedora and cocking a finger knowingly...
