"The class was focused on sensory experiences," reports Southtown Yoga owner and instructor Brigette Niedringhaus. "We did a nice flow with lots of twists to help aid digestion, and hip-openers to make sitting on the floor for dinner more comfortable. It was amazing to be building up to the peak of the practice with the delicious smells from the kitchen stirring."
"It was a great experience," offers class participant Lauren Renner. "Doing yoga with the smell of food cooking in the kitchen was a full sensory experience. The food [Local Harvest chef Clara Moore] created for this event was fantastic -- lots of flavors and textures, which added to the enhanced sensory experience. I really enjoyed sitting down on my yoga mat and sharing a meal in community. In doing so I was able to fully enjoy the food and the company."
