Love the soup at Local Harvest? Chef Clara Moore offers you an opportunity to learn how to craft a few of them at home. She's teaching a soup class on Monday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Local Harvest Cafe.
"When I first started cooking, I couldn't make a soup to save my life," says Moore. "I didn't understand the idea. I was too impatient, mostly."
Luckily, she stuck to it and is now making some of the best soups in St. Louis. In the class she'll divulge her secrets for curried sweet potato and squash soup, French onion, borscht, chicken stock, and roasted chicken soup.
"Soup is the perfect food," she continues. "It is an important part of every cuisine. Soup contains an extremely high concentration of nutrition and a heaping serving of comfort."
