Larry Forgione Lands A Full-Time Gig In the Big Apple

Grub Street New York reports that Larry Forgione has accepted a full-time appointment as "culinary director" at PJ Clarke's in New York.

The kitchen at Forgione's An American Place (822 Washington Avenue; 314-418-5800) is run day to day by chef de cuisine Nick McCormick.

Forgione is overseeing an overhaul of the menu at PJ Clarke's -- best known for burgers -- with an eye toward sustainability. He's apparently also looking after an expansion of the chain into Washington, D.C., and Las Vegas, and helping to put together "Shake Shack-style burger stands," according to Grub Street.
