My review of Young's Restaurant & Ice Creamery is now available online. Young's is located at 206 Meramec Station Road in Valley Park. You can see the menu and more at Young's website. In this week's Back of the House slideshow, Jennifer Silverberg shows you around Young's, including a stop in the kitchen with owner Grant Young (pictured, right), who is also mayor of Valley Park.

Marilyn and Bud Young first opened Young's Restaurant in 1954. Lifelong Valley Park, MO residents, Marilyn has semi-retired and Bud has passed on, but the business, now in their son's capable hands, carries on. Their son Grant, also the Mayor of Valley Park, runs the place with his wife Sibyl. Go inside Young's with our slideshow. - PHOTO: JENNIFER SILVERBERG

Marilyn and Bud Young handed the business over to their son (pictured above), who continues to run the family business. It is not uncommon to find Grant, or Mr. Mayor if you please, conducting city business from the back table of the restaurant. Go inside Young's with our slideshow. - PHOTO: JENNIFER SILVERBERG
