What recession? Sitting on my desk this morning was a thick media packet from Bravo! Cucina Italiana
, which is opening at West County Shopping Center
on Thursday, March 19.
(That's the Lansing, Michigan, location pictured to the right.)
Bravo!, which comes to us from the same parent company as Brio Tuscan Grill
(1601 South Lindbergh Boulevard
; Web site
), will seat about 300 diners indoor and out. The kitchen is exhibition-style, which the press release contends creates "the energy of a live theater."
That press release describes Bravo!, in general, as "casual, white-tablecloth restaurant offering classic Italian food amongst the shadows of Roman ruins." Frankly, I prefer the quote from New Orleans Magazine
that's included in my media packet: "What P.F. Chang's did for Chinese, Bravo! is doing for Italian!"
is epic, with pizza, pasta and many wood-grilled meats. The restaurant will be open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sun.-Thu. and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Fri.-Sat.
