Your Weekly St. Louis Food Blog Digest

A look at what's happening at our favorite St. Louis food blogs...

This weekend is the Slow Food Nation gathering in San Francisco. Bill Burge of STL Bites is on his way there, and he checks in with a fantastic post detailing what the organization means to him and why he is approaching the meeting with mixed feelings.

As I posted yesterday, St. Louis Magazine has a new food blog, Feast. Check out this report from former Monarch sommelier Chris Hoel, who is now working at the French Laundry in Yountville, California.

At Off the Menu, my Post-Dispatch counterpart, Joe Bonwich, has some advice for restaurants about their Web sites.

More after the jump...

The Cupcake Project makes cupcakes with tomatoes and baked beans.

At STL Hops, Mike has posted a documentary film (not by him) on Schlafly.

The Pollacks file a review of Bill Cardwell's new restaurant, BC's Kitchen.

Show Me Vegan is making a spread of cannellini beans with sundried tomatoes and basil.

Pumpkin pie is on the menu at Sugar, Spice & More Things Nice.

At a Veggie Venture, Alanna is turning zucchini into fritters.

Iron Stef takes on the steamed buns called siopao.

At Sounding My Barbaric Gulp, Kelly cooks up some bacon-fried rice.

Do you know a St. Louis food blog we should read? Do you write one yourself? Drop us a line.
