My review of Pi is now available online. Click here to read. Also in this week's issue: Malcolm samples pig's head at Niche, Kristie celebrates the Sex & the City movie with the Carrie martini, and the Gut Check column celebrates the blog's first birthday.
Back to my Pi review: It features an incredibly dorky reference to an episode of Star Trek (the original one) in which the crew defeats a nefarious computer by asking it to solve for pi. Small problem: I referred to the wrong episode. It's "Wolf in the Fold," not "The Ultimate Computer." There's a nefarious computer in "The Ultimate Computer," but the crew defeat it with logic. Or something. It's been a few years since I've seen these. Mea culpa. Trekkies, please put your phasers down.
