Michelin Guide to Tokyo

Good story in the New York Times this weekend on Michelin's new guide to Tokyo restaurants, the first Michelin guidebook for an Asian city. According to the Times piece, many Tokyo chefs and foodies want little to do with foreign ratings of their restaurants. What makes this especially bemusing is that Michelin loved Tokyo, awarding its restaurants more stars than all of the restaurants in New York and Paris combined.
