Food & Wine Offers Love to Niche




Our third and final tip from regular commenter Dan D. -- though, in this case, only because his February issue of Food & Wine arrived a day before my own. (Damn you, USPS routing!)

In the "Where I'm Coming From" sidebar to her monthly "Editor's Letter," Editor in Chief Dana Cowin gives a shout-out to our very own Niche.

At this hip spot in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Benton Park, I loved the thick, handmade pappardelle tossed with a sensational ragù of smoked pork shank.

As you might remember from a few weeks ago, I dug this dish -- and a lot more -- too.

I called over to Niche this afternoon, but Gerard Craft is in Italy at the moment. Apparently, he texted home at 4 a.m. local time complaining that he couldn't find a copy of Food & Wine.

Congrats to Gerard, Mathew and the entire Niche family for the well-deserved national exposure.
