A few readers have helpfully pointed out that Manwich, to which I compare the filling of the short rib ravioli in this week's review of ~scape, isn't a canned meat product, as I wrote. Instead, it's the sauce to which you add ground beef or, like, whatever. I grant the detail, but, really, who the hell uses Manwich sauce for anything but sloppy joes?
On second thought, I don't want to know the answer to that question. Mea culpa -- though if you visit the official ConAgra Manwich site, you'll see it described as sloppy joe sauce. I stand by the comparison.
