Local grocery workers have agreed to a new three-year contract, so no strike or lockout at Schnucks, Dierbergs or Shop 'n Save. (Post-Dispatch)

A couple of updates on yesterday's news:

ConAgra will remove the flavoring agent diacetyl from its microwave popcorn products. The agent has caused lung disease in food plant employees and possibly (as we learned yesterday) in one consumer. (Baltimore Sun)

This guy says Mario Batali says he's still shooting episodes of Iron Chef America. So there. (Serious Eats)
