Did I see any of you at Marcia's Surgery Festival last night? Well, I was incognito. (I hope.) But it was a nice turnout.
Good stuff this morning:
A federal appeals court has stayed Whole Foods' acquisition of Wild Oats. This is a temporary delay so that the court can consider the FTC's request to stay the merger until its appeal of last week's ruling in favor of the merger is heard. (New York Times)
A follow-up to last week's oddball item about Gwyneth Paltrow hosting a cooking show with Mario Batali in Spain. Seems like the show is for PBS and will be Batali in Spain with Paltrow in tow. Still odd. (New York Daily News)
I really, really hope that's the only time I have to link to the Daily News gossip page.
